Alta Video — 1893: Potential request smuggling vulnerability through invalid chunked data in Go net/http package

Overview

A vulnerability was discovered in the net/http package, where the package improperly accepted chunked transfer encoding data containing an invalid chunk-size line terminated by a bare line feed (LF). When used in conjunction with a server or proxy which incorrectly interprets a bare LF in a chunk extension as part of the extension, this could permit request smuggling.

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.5.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 7.6.1.

• Alta Video Cloud: from  16th July 2025

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 7.6.1 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.6.5.

It is crucial that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Alta Video Cloud on  16th July 2025. Alta Video Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.

This issue has been fixed in Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras Beta upgrade channel version 7.6.1 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.6.5.

It is crucial that all Avigilon Cloud-Native camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface for Avigilon Cloud-Native cameras and the Avigilon Cloud-Native Camera Interface for unmanaged cameras.
